Subject: AIC Book and Paper Group
The Book and Paper Group (BPG) session of the 35th AIC Annual Meeting, in Richmond, VA, April 16-20, 2007, will be jointly presented with the International Council of Museums-Committee for Conservation (ICOM-CC), Graphic Documents Working Group. Because of this exceptional event the BPG schedule is extremely tight and separate discussion group sessions (Library Collections and Archives) will be deferred until the 36th AIC Annual Meeting in 2008. BPG is committed to both of these discussion groups and realize their important role in helping to disseminate information, encourage collaboration and foster creative thinking. BPG wants to thank the Library Collections Conservation Discussion Group (LCCDG) and the Archives Conservation Discussion Group (ACDG) for their support of this special session with the international conservation community. The LCCDG was considering the topic of digitization for the next session. They will continue to plan for this topic for 2008, but would be happy to consider other topics of interest. Suggestions for the 2008 AIC Annual Meeting can be sent to current LCCDG co-chair Christine McCarthy <cmccarthy [at] uchicago__edu>. The ACDG will also continue to plan for the 2008 AIC meeting; suggestions for topics of interest are welcome. Please send those suggestions to ACDG co-chair Linda Blaser <linda.blaser [at] nara__gov>.
