Yoruba rituals objects

I am a conservation restoration of painted works of art French
student. I lead some research on Nago Yoruba rituals objects (Benin)
within French collections. I am now in Benin to find information on
materials like binders, pigments, colorants and wood used by the
craftsmen. I already have the book of Mme Rivallain and M. Iroko
and the document on laundry blue as pigment in the ICOM (11th 1996)
preprints of Mme. N. Odegaard and M. Crawford.

I am looking for further information on pictorial techniques in
Africa, especially in the Yoruba country. For laundry blue, I've
done research in the Porto-Novo archives and have only found the
name "blue" in the stock of traders around 1930. I would like to
know which kind of blue was distributed in Benin between 1900-1950
before doing some chemical tests.

If anyone is interested in seeing our research or can guide me to
other documents, please feel free to contact me.
