Papers that summarize the current state of knowledge in an area of
Asian ceramics and formulate questions where future scientific
analysis would be appropriate and necessary are also viable
submissions.  Authors are responsible for ensuring that their
discussions are in compliance with Smithsonian Institution policy
relating to the UNESCO convention on the ownership of cultural
