Preventive Conservator British Museum Central London UKP22,513 pa The British Museum wishes to recruit a full-time Preventive Conservator to work in the Department of Conservation, Documentation and Science. Your primary role will be to help provide a comprehensive and unified preventive conservation service for the Museum's collections. You will run environmental monitoring, integrated pest management, materials testing and assist with the formulation and implementation of relevant policies to facilitate collection care. You will liaise with other stakeholders on appropriate climatic conditions for the display, storage and transport of the Museum's collections by participating in the planning of exhibitions, loans and stores. You will have experience of problem solving, good analytical and computer skills, as well as excellent organisational and communication skills. You must have a recognised professional qualification in conservation, and significant experience in museum or heritage collections care, which has included preventive conservation.
