Project Conservator - Directors' Correspondence Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew 2 Year Fixed Term Appointment The Directors' Correspondence is an internationally significant collection of letters addressed to the Directors of Kew from the early 19th century until 1928. Amongst others, correspondents such as Charles Darwin and David Livingstone are represented in the collection. We now seek a conservator for two years to re-format the collection from bound volumes to Fascicules in line with current conservation practices. The successful candidate will have a graduate qualification, or equivalent, in Archives Paper Conservation or proven experience in an archives conservation department. A knowledge of Fasciculing and traditional repair techniques is essential. The Starting salary will be from UKP18,030 per annum (pay award pending), commensurate with qualifications and experience.
