The following is from a message from John Havermans Networking of communities of researchers, infrastructure owners and users is one of the important instruments the European Commission is offering in order to establish cooperation and co-ordination between existing facilities, researchers, end-users, industrialists, manufacturers and suppliers. COST, which stands for European Cooperation in the field of Scientific and Technical Research, is one of the longest-running instruments supporting co-operations among scientist and researchers across Europe. Within the COST domain Chemistry and Molecular Sciences and Technologies, Cost Action D42 is effective since October 2006.
