From: Marie Culver <mculver>
Date: Wednesday, March 14, 2007
Announcement of Civil Services Examination for positions at the New
York State Archives

The New York State Archives encourages individuals interested in
working for an energetic, dynamic organization to take the civil
service examination for Archives and Records Management Specialist I
and II positions. This examination is an evaluation of your
training and experience that you complete at home; there is no need
to take a formal test at an examination site in New York State.

The list of candidates resulting from this examination will likely
remain in force for the next five years, and we encourage
individuals interested in employment, whether now or at some point
in the future, to complete the examination and application process.
We anticipate that a variety of positions will become vacant while
this list is in effect, among them those specializing in:
preservation; digitization; electronic records; reference services;
grants administration; Web site and information resource
development; and provision of advisory services to local governments
and historical records repositories throughout New York State.

The deadline for receiving applications to take this examination is
April 9, 2007. You will find more information regarding
qualifications and the application process at
