Ceramics Conservator The British Museum UKP19,999 pa As a member of the ceramics conservation team, you will assist with the conservation of the Museum's extensive collections of archaeological and historical ceramics and glass, and contribute generally to the care of the collections programme. In close collaboration with staff of the various curatorial departments, you will carry out all aspects of the practical conservation of ceramics and glass for display, loan, storage and research purposes. You will have a recognised professional qualification, which includes the conservation of archaeological and/or historical ceramics and glass, and will have developed your practical conservation skills either in employment or on training placements. You will have an understanding of conservation theory and ethical decision-making, together with an awareness of health and safety issues. You must be IT literate.
