Basic Digital Stewardship Online Class for Gulf Coast Academic Libraries Basic Digital Stewardship (Live Online) April 12, 2007 10am - 12pm EST Free In an effort to promote disaster preparedness and recovery near the gulf coast, SOLINET is offering a series of free Preservation classes from Spring to Fall 2007 as a part of its participation in the Gulf Coast Academic Library Recovery Project (Mellon). Some classes will be held face-to-face and some will be web-based. Additional classes will be announced periodically as scheduled. Is your institution thinking about embarking on a digital project? Have you already begun, but want to make sure that you are prepared to handle the long-term preservation needs that are specific to the digital world?
