Subject: Special Commentators sought for AIC course
We at the AIC Distance Learning initiative are planning to offer an online seminar in ethics and conservation. This seminar, to be called "Professional Responsibility," will offer participants an opportunity to examine and discuss ethical issues of treatment, professional relationships, conservator-client interactions, and employee- or student-conservator relationships. The course will be presented in a modified case-study method, with a different topical focus each week. We are at present compiling a list of people willing to act as Special Commentators. Each Special Commentator will provide a 200-500 word comment on one case study. These comments will be a component of the materials distributed to all participants.in preparation for a group discussion. As a Special Commentator you would be welcome to join that discussion, but this would not be a requirement. Interested in being a Special Commentator? Want more information? Contact Sarah Lowengard, Course Designer <sarahl [at] panix__com> or Eric Pourchot, AIC Program Officer for Professional Development <epoirchot [at] aic-faic__org>. *** Conservation DistList Instance 21:1 Distributed: Saturday, April 28, 2007 Message Id: cdl-21-1-023 ***Received on Monday, 16 April, 2007
