Conservation Technician The Eiteljorg Museum of American Indians and Western Art of Indianapolis, IN, is currently seeking candidates for the position of Conservation Technician. The successful candidate will play in integral role in a three-year detailed survey of the museum's collections funded in part by the Institute for Museum and Library Services. Requirements and qualifications include a related Bachelor's degree (Fine Art, Art History, Archaeology, Anthropology, etc.) with demonstrated interest in conservation and/or experience in a conservation lab. Familiarity with professional conservation practices and procedures along with proficiency in Microsoft Office and collections management software (such as with The Museum System [TMS]) are essential. The right candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and some experience with object photography.
