Textiles and Objects Conservation Technician Indianapolis Museum of Art Excellent Pre-Program Opportunity The Indianapolis Museum of Art is seeking a conservation technician with a strong background in textiles and familiarity with objects. The ideal candidate will be familiar with color theory and have excellent color matching abilities; attention to detail and patience for long-term projects requiring repetitive sessions of intricate fine work are required, as are creativity, flexibility and a bachelor's degree. Day-to-day responsibilities will include gallery maintenance, environmental monitoring, materials testing, and assistance with object examination and documentation, conservation treatments, costume mounting and exhibition preparation.
