Conservation contract for Army object collection (Unclassified) US Army Heritage and Education Center (AHEC) The US Army Heritage and Education Center (AHEC), Carlisle Barracks, Carlisle, Pennsylvania, has a requirement for contract Objects Conservation services to support the treatment and survey needs of the diverse object/artifact collections of the Army Heritage Museum. Contract services shall be conducted on the vendor's premises as well as some survey and macro artifact work on site at the AHEC. The IDIQ (indefinite quantities) contract, if awarded, has 1 base year and 4 option years. Collections requiring stabilization treatment, documentation, survey, material analysis, and exhibits preparation include: historic firearms, military equipment and accessories, edged weapons, footlockers, soldier souvenirs and captured objects, communication equipment, taxidermy, and macro objects (transport vehicles and ordnance) dating from the pre Revolutionary War period to present day. In addition, the collection includes archaeological and ethnographic artifacts, 3-dimensional fine art and sculpture, historic gilt picture frames, and other historic objects.
