Trainee Conservator Nottinghamshire Archives UKP14,787 - UKP15,096 p.a. (subject to job evaluation) (pay award pending) Hours: 37 Job reference ESC/0890/PO Nottinghamshire Archives is based in the centre of the cosmopolitan city of Nottingham. It is a purpose-built repository with a pleasant and well equipped conservation workshop. It has recently achieved a 3* rating in the TNA self-assessment. We now require a full-time committed and enthusiastic individual who will work in a team of three reporting to the Senior Conservator and carry out work for both the Archives and for Local Studies Libraries throughout the county. You will be enrolled on the Society of Archivist's Certificate in Archive Conservation. Upon successful completion of the Certificate, you would be appointed to the established post of Conservator (scale 5/6). You must have a minimum of 5 GCSE's, be willing to become a member of the Society of Archivist's and complete the Certificate within 3 years and be able to undertake training placements at archive repositories throughout the UK.
