The National Heritage Board (NHB) is recruiting Conservators /
Assistant Conservators in the specialised areas of paper, textile
and paintings conservation (3 positions).

The successful candidates will be working in the first purpose-built
Heritage Conservation Centre in Southeast Asia and will be
responsible for the care and treatment of artefacts in the
collection.  There will also be opportunities to be involved in
preventive conservation projects and participate in exhibition
planning teams from the Asian Civilisations Museum, National Museum
of Singapore, Singapore Art Museum and the upcoming Peranakan
Museum.

Responsibilities:

    Care and treatment of artefacts in the collection

    Manages and/or implements preventive conservation projects
    including environmental monitoring and pest management

    Performs conservation analysis and tests

    Supports efforts in providing outreach programmes

Requirements: The applicant should have a degree from a recognized
conservation training program, with one or two years of relevant
practical work experience.  In addition, he/she should be a
disciplined and self- motivated individual who is both a good team
player as well as being able to work independently.

The standard contract duration is based on minimum of 2 +1 years.
This is however negotiable. An attractive remuneration, relocation
package and other benefits are available in accordance with
qualification, experience and potential.

Monthly Scale:

    S$ 2,030 - $5,040 / S$4,180 - S$6,750 (excluding gratuity)
