Subject: Workshop on digital prints
"Long Lasting Digital Prints" Workshop Monique Fischer, Photographic Conservator, Northeast Document Conservation Center Monmouth County Library 125 Symmes Drive Manalapan, NJ. October 10, 2007 9am to Noon Color prints made from digital files are of uncertain longevity. However, there are ways of creating long-lasting prints by understanding the materials employed and controlling the conditions where the print will be stored. This presentation will address the three most important factors that affect the life of a digital print: the quality of materials used such as the colorant (dye vs. pigment) and paper; the combination of materials used; and afterwards, the storage and display of the prints. Registration for the workshop is $15 per person. Contact: Shelagh Reilly 732-308-3771 sreilly [at] co__monmouth__nj__us Gary D.
