Subject: New site--Fiber atlas
The Centre for Cultural Materials Conservation (CCMC), at the University of Melbourne, is pleased to announce the launch of a new free-access searchable database atlas of "Oriental Papermaking Fibres" The atlas presents colour micrographs and identification data of a range of plant fibres used in Japanese papermaking. The database is the work of Travis Taylor, CCMC alumnus, and was completed as part of his postgraduate internship at the CCMC Paper Conservation Department.
