Not just one of the UK's foremost collecting institutions with responsibility for leading the wider UK archival sector, the National Archives needs to lead collection care thinking as well as practice. We are setting standards and supporting innovation in information and records management across the UK. In order to preserve its collections for future generations the National Archives is seeking to recruit a highly experienced and motivated individual as Head of Collection Care. Managing a team of 30 the post holder will provide leadership and vision to ensure the promotion and delivery of The National Archives stewardship strategy to guarantee the survival of our records. A recognised leader in the field of cultural heritage preservation you will be responsible for raising the profile of the department in preservation and research both nationally and internationally. As a member of the Senior Management team your leadership skills will enable you to play a critical part in supporting the development of the National Archives as a whole.
