Subject: Textile Conservation Centre closure
I have added some arguments to the blog on TTC. But I think ICOM-CC should, and in a very official way, also be informed, probably by IIC, as well as ICOM, the mother organization, IIC national committees, the national conservation organisations, perhaps also ICCROM and certainly Getty, to try to have them throw their reputation into the UK balance to get the decision reversed. To me what is happening there is terribly serious and not only for UK textile and international conservation, but for us all and all the efforts to preserve our heritage where ever and in what ever speciality.
