Subject: Graduate program in Conservation of New Media and Digital Information
Long-term preservation of modern cultural heritage, like photographs, video recordings or digital information, poses a serious challenge for numerous institutions. However, at the same time it provides a highly interesting chance, because specialists in this field should have excellent professional perspectives. With its two-year graduate program "Conservation of New Media and Digital Information" the Stuttgart State Academy of Art and Design offers a key qualification for those who are looking for a career in media preservation. And even if you currently cannot afford to study full-time, this program could be interesting for you. You can attend almost all classes as guest, and, after successful participation, get credit, which you can use as regular student at a later point. Next program start will be April 1, 2008, deadline for applications will be January 15. More information can be found at <URL:http://www.mediaconservation.org>, where you can also download the application form.
