The ICON Paintings Group invite you to a talk on "Artists and their colourmen in 19th century Paris" Presented by Kate Lowry ACR, Head of Art Conservation; National Museum Wales at the ICON Office 1 London Bridge, London SE1 9BG Monday, 3 March 2008 at 6pm prompt The focus of this talk will be the artists colourmen of 19th century Paris, their products and services, and their relationship with the local artistic community. The content will be based on research carried out at National Museum Wales in Cardiff on French Realist and Impressionist paintings from the Davies Sisters collection. Some comparisons will be drawn between the artists' colourman's trade in London and in Paris during this period.
