While I agree with Rich Kerschner's comments, we have been using the
Veriteq Spectrum 2000 datalogger for about 12 years as part of our
statewide environmental monitoring program, in which we install 3-18
dataloggers in up to 15 institutions for a five month period twice a
year.  This means that they are getting a fair amount of wear and
tear. We are beginning to run a program of replacing them
systematically now because they have received so much activity and
the batteries are wearing out.  We have been very satisfied with
Veriteq's customer service and service.  The software is easy to
use, and it is relatively straightforward to export the data to
Climate Notebook.  The cost is between the Hobo and the PEM.
