The Winterthur Museum will host a two year post graduate fellowship
in book and paper conservation to begin by January, 2009. During the

will have full access to Winterthur's Scientific Research and
Analysis Laboratory as well as the Winterthur and University of
Delaware Libraries and may assist in teaching in the WUDPAC program.
During the second year, the Fellow will undertake a
treatment/research project designed to integrate their conservation
interests and experience.

The Winterthur Library collections encompass a wide variety of
printed, manuscript, and visual materials that promote the
interdisciplinary study of American art, material culture and
everyday life. The collections support both visiting and residential
research fellowships as well as the research and exhibition needs of
the Winterthur Museum and two graduate programs. Its resources
include more than 87,000 volumes of printed books and serials and

over a million individual items.

The stipend amount is $32,000 per year plus benefits and $3,000 for
travel and research each year.
