Conference Announcement and Call for Papers Icon Ceramics and Glass Group One-day Spring Forum and Annual Group Meeting Sackler Room, British Museum, London 28 May 2009 The main theme of this year's conference focuses on the Sir Percival David Collection of Chinese Ceramics. This outstanding collection of one thousand seven hundred ceramics, ranging in date from the 3rd-20th century, is considered the most important collection of Chinese ceramics outside mainland China and Taiwan. It includes many items of Imperial quality. From April 2009 this collection will be newly displayed in a purpose-built gallery at the British Museum. While focusing on the conservation, display and access of this collection we would also invite papers on all aspects of conservation of ceramics and glass. Abstract submissions should include the following: the title of the presentation; the names of all contributors; mailing address, telephone number, and e-mail of the contact person. Abstracts should be about 300 words and will be published as part of the conference proceedings. Please contact Julia Barton if you have an idea for a presentation you wish to discuss.
