Historischen Stadtarchivs Koln collapses

Does Anyone find it odd that the collapse of the archives in Koln
has not hit the news in the USA? Even though it least two people are
still missing and feared dead, with a great fear that 20+ miles of
shelving covering 1,000+ years of local history may well be a total
loss. Sad when 90% of the news here in the USA is truly filler
"junk" yet when something like a loss of this magnitude takes place
it gets no coverage at all.
