KTP Associate - Product Development Manager The Leather Conservation Centre Fixed term contract (up to 2 years) Circa UKP20,000 per annum An exciting and challenging post has arisen under the Knowledge Transfer Partnerships Programme. You will be based within The Leather Conservation Centre <URL:http://www.leatherconservation.org> as the partner company but employed by The University of Northampton. Or more information about KTP see <URL:http://www.ktponline.org.uk/graduates> The Leather Conservation Centre (LCC), which is based in Northampton, is a major international centre for leather conservation, education and research. It offers a comprehensive service in the conservation and restoration of leather objects of historic, cultural and artistic importance. The LCC is now looking to develop a new revenue stream in terms of a conservation product for international markets and requires a Product Development Manager who will, amongst other things, research existing products and markets, develop and launch a superior product, and also assist in setting down manufacturing and marketing programmes. You will need to have a degree in chemistry, biochemistry or a related science subject. An interest in or understanding of conservation is desirable but not essential. A flexible team player with the ability to work independently and with good interpersonal skills, you will have the technical aptitude, organisational skills and self-motivation to drive the project through to a successful conclusion. You will also study for a professional qualification in Management and be encouraged to study for a research based higher degree linked to your KTP activity.
