Wood Conservation in the Tropics

I have done a general research on wood conservation for a report
presented in one of my Theories of Conservation classes and I found
wood conservation very interesting. I have decided to make it as one
of my primary subjects for thesis proposals as most of the heritage
structures here in our country are made of wood and/or wooden
materials. As such, I am narrowing down my research on wood
conservation in the Tropics or those areas whose climate are
hot-humid like ours. Would any one have a suggestion where I might
find considerable data/sources on this topic?
