The Kupferstichkabinett Museum of Prints and Drawings, at the
National Museums of Berlin, seeks to fill by June 1, 2009, a post
for an academically educated (M.A., Diploma) conservator supervising
and guiding the conservation part of a three-year project involving
the study and exhibition of the collection of 4000 drawings by Karl
Friedrich Schinkel, working in tandem with a curator (Schinkel's
Heritage: Imaging History in Early Historicism).

The project involves the technical examination, research,
description and development of a new storage and system in
cooperation with external partners, and organization of colloquia
and contributions to the exhibition. The candidate must speak German
fluently, have excellent English knowledge, be experienced in
conservation project planning, in scholarly as well as scientific
approach to conservation, and team-oriented. For details, please see
