Deputy Head of Collections Conservation and Care Horniman Museum Permanent Post Pay Rates currently under review - circa UKP30 to UKP33k per annum The Horniman Museum is offering an excellent opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic individual to assist with the management of the Collections Conservation and Care Section, which is responsible for the conservation and care of the Museum's collections of anthropology, musical instruments and natural history. Currently we are working towards the production of two new temporary exhibitions, one focusing on Dance in Bali, the other an exhibition in association with Olympic year called 'The Body Adorned', along with ongoing work towards a review of the Environmental Control Strategic Study carried out in 1992. Applicants should have a good range of post-qualification practical experience which encompasses the care, documentation and treatment of a wide-range of organic and inorganic objects in a museum environment. Their skills and experience must also enable them to assume the responsibilities of deputy to the head of collections conservation and Care.
