• Judith Munn, whose review of Lee McDonald's paper- making equipment appears in this issue, reports that she is a very proud and happy recipient of a National Museum Act Grant to study with Anthony Cams at Trinity College, Dublin, for a year beginning in September.
• Heinke Pensky-Adam has accepted an appointment to head the restoration department at Monastery Hill Bindery in Chicago.
• On January 1, Charles A. E. Brandt became Chief Conservator for Artistic & Historic Works on Paper at the Provincial Archives in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
• The Thompson Conservation Laboratory is pleased to announce the addition of Joanna Mankowski to its staff. Ms. Mankowski received her Masters degree in the Restoration of Fine Arts Objects from the Institute of Restoration at Nicholas Copernicus University in Torun, Poland.

  At the Institute, Ms. Mankowski specialized in the restoration of art on paper and of objects made wholly or in part of leather.

• Frank J. Anderson, one of two subscribers from the state of South Carolina, writes from Spartanburg:

  "I am 'winding down' on a one-month session of paper- making and printmaking (linocuts, woodcuts, drypoint, and etching) which I taught at the Wofford College Library Press. The five students I had did some nice work. We will have an exhibit of their work during the month of February.

  "Four of my Kitenaug Press books were included in the juried 'International Artists' Book Show' (Jan. 17-Feb. 15) at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago."
