Query: Has anybody else discovered that silverfish are attracted to acid-free paper products?

Query from the Editor: What do other lettering units in libraries do to remove old call numbers when deaccessioning books or changing call numbers? The new call number labels sometimes cover the old call number, but not always. At Brigham Young University we were using a mixture of acetone and methyl ethyl ketone, with small amounts of limonene and pentane added, but discontinued this because of the fire hazard. Nothing else we can find will work as well.
