Book Facsimile Service
The University of Minnesota has been reproducing books by
photocopying and binding them for about ten years, and have provided
the service not only to UN libraries, but to other organizations as
well, including Avery Library at Columbia University, Ohio State
University, Morris Library at Carbondale, and Minneapolis Public
Library. The work is done in the bindery, using 50 lb. Glatfelter
book text paper and binding the copies to LBI standards. All books
are first disbound, and are later returned to the owners. Turnaround
time is 4-5 weeks, and prices are reasonable. An information sheet
and sample pages are available from Marc Flechsig, University
Manager, University of Minnesota Bindery, 2818 Como Ave. SE,
Minneapolis, MN 55414 (612/373-2884).
