Carolyn Harris is attempting to aggregate and compare condition
survey data across the United States. Any survey data which relates
to the condition (i.e. brittleness, damaged bindings, etc.) of
materials would be useful for this research. If you have completed a
condition survey of all or part of a library collection, she would
appreciate seeing the data. She already has access to survey data
from the ARL Preservation Planning Program and all that has been
published in the literature. But please send any other survey
descriptions and results to her at the School of Library Service,
Columbia University, New York, NY 10027, or call at
212/854-3873.
