• Lisa L. Fox has moved from Atlanta to Philadelphia. Her new address is 14010 Trevose Road, Philadelphia, PA 19116 (215/677-7454; e-mail LFOX@mindspring.com). She is an independent consultant and trainer in preservation now.
• Joseph F. Shubert retired in July from the New York State Education Department, where he was State Librarian and Assistant Commissioner for Libraries for 19 years. He was honored at a retirement ceremony July 19 by the Regents. He will continue to live near Albany.
• David Walls became Preservation Librarian at Yale last November. (Paul Conway is Head of the Preservation Department there.) He is a December 1995 graduate of the University of Texas Graduate School of Library and Information Science. For five years he was a computer technology specialist at the Learning Skills Center at UT. • Susan DuBois was appointed Preservation Services Representative at the Conservation Center for Art and Historic Artifacts in Philadelphia last November, and Joan Irving was appointed conservator.
• Richard F. Young wrote in January, "Things continue to go well with me since my retirement from the U.S. Senate in 1993. I've built up a small consulting clientele here on the Cape [Cape Cod], and am currently working with the Cape Museum of Fine Arts drawing up a plan for their library/ archival facility. I'm also their archivist."
• Jeanne Drewes, formerly Assistant Preservation Librarian at Michigan State University, started as Head, Preservation Department, at Johns Hopkins University's Milton S. Eisenhower Library in December 1996. Her address is Preservation Dept., Milton S. Eisenhower Library, Johns Hopkins University, 3400 N. • Dr. Susan Barger is now a partner with Ms. Malin Wilson in Barger & Wilson, a new independent consulting firm serving preservation and collections management needs of libraries. They are at 320 Aztec St., Santa Fe, NM 87501 (505/988-7044; fax 505/466-0748).
• Rolland Aubey, 70, of Port Edwards, Wisconsin, died Thursday February 13, after a short battle with bone cancer. He had retired from Nekoosa Papers (now Georgia-Pacific) in 1989, after working there as a research manager and chemist for 35 years. He played a major role in setting standards for paper in ASTM, ISO and other organizations. In his home town of Port Edwards, he was known as a dedicated village servant, superb executive, and "backbone of the village," serving in many capacities, including as volunteer firefighter, Boy Scout leader, village trustee for 22 years and village president for 13 years.
