To the Editor:
In my capacity as Archives Advisor in the Province of Ontario, Canada, I am directly involved in advocating preservation management among existing archival institutions. I am also responsible for "selling" the value of preservation to new programs. In my humble opinion, preservation is the most important archival function, out of which all other archival functions flow. It should always have top priority within institutions. I find the Abbey Newsletter to be the best publication available for information on preservation research and resources. It provides me with the tools I need for my job. I extend my appreciation to Ellen McCrady for all her fine work on this publication. Keep up the good work!
