A method of constructing a tube for a HOLLOW , in which a
strip of paper, linen, cambric, etc., three times
the width of the spine of the book is cut, the
middle width of which is glued to the spine, the
two end widths being folded over the middle and
glued to each other. This method is generally
superior to ONE ON AND
ONE OFF , and, although it does not offer
adequate support to the spine of a large book, it
is adequate for some light, thin volumes,
depending upon the weight of the paper. See also:
