NORMAN E. MULLER was graduated from the Conservation Center of the Institute of Fine Arts, New York University, and has been employed as a paintings conservator by a number of major museums in the United States. At present he is a conservator at The Art Museum, Princeton University. He has lectured and published widely on American and early Italian painting materials and techniques.
