Look at the TripleDAT workstation (~ $1,000) from Creamware along with the
OSIRIS restoration plug-in for about $400. I tested them against CEDAR series
2 stand alone processors a few years ago. Although it does not do as good a
job as CEDAR, it is close enough to be quite acceptable for most puroses and is
MUCH less expensive.
Otherwise, go for SADIE "Classic" and buy the CEDAR plug-ins... a lot more
expensive, but used SADIE classics may be readily obtainable for about $3,000
as studios go for the latest, greatest 24/96 system. The CEDAR plug-ins are
each about as expensive and there are, I think, three of them.
Both of the above support CD burning directly to SCSI devices like the Plextor
820 drives which are an excellent choice for the purpose.
