Having looked at a number of options and tried unsuccessfully to design a
suitable database for a vintage collection (with suitable auto-insert
functions for matrix and issue dates etc),  I think the best way is to have
a software designer build  a bespoke database on Access.  I am planning on
doing this in the New Year.      Off-the-shelf packages I have bought such
as ClassicCollector simply do not have enough flexibility.
