David, the AOL "Write Mail" window you're using to create your messages
has a formatting bar across the top of the body text. You currently have
the "B" button that turns everything to boldface type turned on. Try
clicking on that button; after you click on it, the button should look
like it's now "up" rather than down. That will turn off the boldface type
and return everything to the default.
That at least will make the post readable by humans. I am told that AOL no
longer lets you kill the pointless, wasteful and potentially dangerous HTML
transmission, so if all you can do is make it readable, I suppose that's
all that can be done.
