We
make digital transfers to CD-R from minidisc. I think I'm right in saying
that the digital output of minidisc players is optical (or at least all our
players have optical outputs and not SPDIF or AES/EBU). That means you
need a CD-R writer which has an optical input or you'll need a converter to
change the optical datastream into SPDIF (say). These are commonly
available. The optical datastream, incidentally, will also transfer the
minidisc track markers.

made on minidisc. Is there a way to transfer digitally or the MD machines come
only with analog out and have to be resampled to transfer to Cd?
I'll be extremely grateful if someone on the list
can provide me with some insight since I'm totally unfamiliar with
MD.
thanks to all
