However, THE FRONT END (Kendal's unit) is set up so that you put it in
the stereo mode and then pan the groove walls to find the null. The
vertical switch is not emplyed...unless you are nulling a vertical
record.

To null it out, you'd need a "vertical" switch. Looking at the peak on
a
meter in lateral mode is not nearly as precise.
As someone pointed out, they charge more for this option- about $ 2-300
as I
recall.
