The following are some new developments for Symposium 2003,
Preservation of Electronic Records: New Knowledge and
Decision-making, which is being co-hosted by the Canadian
Conservation Institute (CCI), the Library and Archives of Canada
(LAC), and the Canadian Heritage Information Network (CHIN) on
September 15-18, 2003 at LAC, 395 Wellington St, Ottawa, Canada.
The Early Bird Registration has been extended to July 31, 2003. It
is not too late to register and secure the early bird rate.
Registration is available online at

A new Exhibit will be launched at the symposium. The Canada Science
and Technology Museum in conjunction with CCI will launch an
exciting new traveling exhibit on electronic preservation at the
opening of the Symposium. This fun, informative, and interactive
exposition will be on display for the entire week before it goes
back to the museum. If you are interested in hosting this exhibit in
your institution at a future date, please contact Carole Noel
