Remember the RCA Victor Met centennial album that include a patch of the
curtain????

3M used to hand out mementos of pieces what they claimed were the first reel
of the audio tape
that they manufactured (or perhaps the first reel of 111) floating in an
acrylic block

Also, Sony used to give out DT (dynamic tracking) heads from their 1" VTRs
