Jack Norworth may not have attended a ball game until 34 years after
writing "Take Me Out To The Ballgame," but from what I understand he
subsequently became quite a fan, and is reportedly considered the man
responsible for the institution of Little League Baseball in California.
At least, he founded the Laguna Beach Little League in 1952. It's
hard to imagine Little League getting started in Laguna Beach first of
all places in the state, but there it is.
