I do not know what you would use these for, but I used to own a 424 [mk I]
and always thought the sound quality was remarkable.

Notice that the second one listed is 3-3/4 ONLY?

Tascam is still making portable multi-track cassette recorders--four models to be exact, one of them apparently a new release. Two of these offer 3.75 ips. Does anyone out there have any experience or knowledge of these machines?
