Re: [ARSCLIST] The Best Way To Help The NHPRC
This morning, I spoke with Nancy Beaumont, Executive Director, Society of American Archivists, regarding how ARSC members can help out during the NHPRC crisis. While speaking with Ms. Beaumont, she asked if you could send me e-mails, via the ARSC list-serve, or off-list, describing how the NHPRC grants helped out your specific institution. Ms. Beaumont is currently collecting the information, so that the SAA can react in, hopefully, a positive way. In addition, Ms. Beaumont asked that ARSC members hold off at this point from contacting their political leaders, until the SAA has an opportunity to put together a concise letter explaining how our Congressmen and Senators can help. It is extremely important that we work together, and not individually, in order to have the most impact.
Ms. Beaumont, asked if I could serve as the liaison between the SAA and the ARSC, as she is currently being inundated with
e-mails.
