My blue collar nomination would be Charlie Monroe's (1949) "Time Clock of
Life," RCA 21-0156. Others would no doubt prefer the Clovers' "Sixty
Minute Man."

The one I found (at an antiques mall in New Hampshire about 20 years ago)
was made with a Jean Cocteau record which I wanted, so it now bears a
large-red-label HMV DA- disc; but it really should have the Victor
black-label Orth: In a clock store, shouldn't it ?
