Thanks! From the run of catalog numbers, CL 810 would normally have come
up
around January 1956 (which corresponds to neighboring titles) but the New
York
Times ad and the Schwann listing, plus Steve's release date of August
29/55,
suggest that they must have decided on a rush release to make it available
for
the fall concert season, since proceeds were going to the pension fund.
(And it's officially over 50 years old as of Jan. 1/06, which is what I
needed
to know.)
