There were 1000s of rock titles issued on 78.The 78 was phased out
gradually, worldwide, from 1958-65.The US labels stopped pressing them
for
commercial sale,in August 1958,but continued to press them jukeboxes.
Canada,and the UK,pressed them,until (March ?),of 1959.South
Africa,continued to press 78s,for public sale,until 1962.Most of South
America,Turkey,and The Philippines(Where lots of American,and British
rock
was pressed.),sold them up intil 1963.And then there is India, where
they
were pressed,up until Summer of 1965.Thus, every Parlophone beatle
single,at least through "Help" exists on 78 RPM.Here's a link
The latest Canadian 78 I have seen was a Canadian Atlantic
copy of Ray Charles' "Let the Good Times Roll" (that was the
B side, I forget the hit A side) from very early 1960. I have
several 1959 Columbia 78's with the "eye" label (never used
on 78 in US)...
